PING PONG, $20/HR
The only difference between “Ping Pong” and “Table Tennis” is that the term “Ping Pong” was trademarked by a ping pong table manufacturer back in the 1900’s. So, the name “Table Tennis” was chosen to refer to the game, today they are used interchangeable. Interesting!
SHUFFLEBOARD, $20 / HR
It is suspected that Shuffleboard’s origins started in England during the 15th century. The original game was played by shoving a “groat” (a large coin) down the table “shove-groat,” which was later replaced by a penny “Shove-penny.” Original table sizes ranged from 28-32 foot long, and have been cut down since then due to the demand of nationwide shipping and accessibility to smaller spaces. “Foosball” actually has many names depending on where you’re from: in Turkey it’s called Langirt in France, Jouer Au Baby-Foot, in Hungary, Csocso, in Israel Cadureguel-Schulchan, table football in the UK and fussball in Germany. Who knew?
